Ursula's Camp - UNEXPECTED SURPRISE.
The choice to stay at Ursula's Camp was perfect! It was great for the four of us – in fact although there was another couple there (whom we hardly ever saw), it felt as though it was our own private holiday home in the bush, with our own chef and housekeeper. Olivia was the perfect hostess and really catered to your every need – from arranging game drives, transfers into the town, to providing fabulous meals, she was just amazing – nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was absolutely perfect – spotlessly clean little chalets all with great views of the garden and bush. Because it is the rainy season now, everything is green and lush – just gorgeous!
We had the pleasure of meeting Olivia's husband Mike (head game ranger in the reserve), who took us out on two game drives – so knowledgeable and very interesting. We learned so much about the wildlife, insect life and plant life! Also had an elephant “encounter” of note.
Needless to say, the Victoria Falls are absolutely magnificent – having seen them from the Zimbabwe side as well as the Zambian side – truly amazing. Speaking of the Zambian side, I must add that I was talked into “doing” the Devil's Pool. Not too sure of what I was letting myself into and not realizing the mighty Zambezi was flowing VERY fast, I let my daughter book for me. Well in a nutshell, I must say that it was the most exhilarating as well as the scariest thing I have every done in my life! It is the mother of all infinity pools! Due to the heavy rains and fast flowing river, I think it was closed the day after we did it! (early January).
All in all our four days at Vic Falls were magic!

Stanley & Livingstone Safari Lodge - A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY.
We didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for when we booked ... but we found a paradise. The location was wonderful, the facilities awesome, the staff amazing. We immediately extended our stay so that we could enjoy more of the luxury and generous hospitality.
Originally, we had seen the Lodge as a base to explore the area. But after one trip to the Falls, we stayed on-site for the rest of the time - watching the wildlife and feeling utterly pampered.
To be fair, we could only afford the place because of the wonderful discounted deal we were offered.

Stanley & Livingstone Safari Lodge - EXCELLENT STAY.
Hidden away 10 minutes from the busy Victoria Falls town is this wonderful ambience where you can unwind and relax, being looked after by a tremendous team of staff whose priority is your comfort and enjoyment. Organising game drives, Zambesi river trips and superb meals. Everything is done for you and their flexibility to your needs is outstanding.
Chef KK and the team provide sumptuous meals. Ferdinand and the boys are quiet and discreet at the tables. Michael the game driver has a passion for the land, animals and birds which he demonstrates in his eagerness to make sure you see as much as possible.
S and L has all that Victoria Falls has to offer but they are able to add that something which made our trip so magical. Mdina and her team are excellent!

Ursula's Camp - TRANQUILLITY IN THE BUSH.
We benefitted from being the only two people at the lodge and found it such a haven of peace in the wilds. It is such a beautiful place, so close to nature. Our host, Mike, was so friendly and made us feel really at home. The game drives with Africa enabled us to see many of the big 5 and dinner around the boma in the bush was a wonderful experience. A huge thank you to the staff and to Mike for making our short stay such a memorable one.
