The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority (ZimParks) is responsible for conserving Zimbabwe's wildlife resources, in National Parks, Protected Areas and on other state-owned land.
ZimParks has basic self-catering tourism lodges/cottages and campsite facilities for visitors in its properties throughout Zimbabwe. All of these are situated in prime scenic and wildlife areas. In the Victoria Falls, Kariba and Zambezi area facilities are as follows:
Zambezi National Park (Vic Falls): lodges, fishing camps, campsites and picnic sites
Kariba Nyanyana: campsite and cottages
Matusadona National Park : campsite and two exclusive lodges
Chizarira National Park: campsites
Mana Pools National Park: campsite; lodges, cottages, exclusive camps (see maps right)
Chewore North Safari Area: campsite
Reservations for Parks facilities are opened one year in advance to all clients, including Zimbabwe residents.
Clients are treated on a first come first serve basis, with payment being demanded up front.
