"John Stevens is a private safari guide like no other, a legend among his peers...He is someone who inspires his clients with total confidence, while providing them with the ultimate experience of the African wild."

John and his wife, Nicci, have over three decades of experience designing luxury bespoke safaris especially suited to your needs and they are particularly interested in sharing with you their favourite part of the world - the Zambezi Valley -whether you choose to carry a back pack and walk, sleeping under the stars, or stay in a luxury tented camp on the banks of the Zambezi River.

John was instrumental, along with a small team of like-minded individuals in setting up a collaborative anti-poaching fund, The Zambezi Elephant Fund, which facilitates fundraising and supports on-the-ground anti-poaching efforts in the Zambezi Valley.

I went to Chewenya Camp with John Stevens in 1982 and it was fantastic. Tranquility and feeling wild Africa all around you. At night it is not quiet as the wild is noisy at that time of the day. Crickets, frogs, hippo's, lion's roar, leopard cough and a whole new world opens up for you. Just watching animals coming past and enjoying the baboons, who are so funny. Just remember these 3 things: Don't leave anything but your footprints Don't take anything but your memories (photos) Don't kill anything but time.
