ZIMPARKS CHALETS:  The Zambezi National Park, has affordable 4-bed, self-catering chalet accommodation situated near the entrance to Park a short distance upstream of the mighty Victoria Falls

The chalet units are clean & comfortable and ideal for self-drive visitors.  They each consist of two bedrooms - one double, one twin - a shared bathroom, separate toilet, a lounge, a river-facing verandah and a basic kitchen . All units are serviced daily at no extra cost.

All the chalets have their own private views of the river, and since there are no fences, wild animals can wander freely through the woodland - offering amazing, intimate wildlife experiences right on your doorstep!

ZIMPARKS CAMPING SITES:   There are also several various remote, minimally-developed exclusive camping sites along the Zambezi River in the Zambezi National ParkThese include:  Kandahar Fishing Camp (5km from the Park entrance); Chundu 1 and 2, Siansimba, Chomunzi and Saminunga sites.  There are no facilites at these sites, so campers need to be completely self-sufficient.

ZIMPARKS CHAMABONDA VIEWING PLATFORMS:  In the south of Zambezi National Park, there are two viewing plaftorms overlooking waterholes at Chamabonda Vlei.  These can be hired for overnight camping.

Everything was rustic and nice until our last night staying there. To our horror, we found two men settling in our chalet (that we paid for the entire chalet) when we came back from dinner late at night. That two strangers insisted that they were there to share the chalet with us (and the chalet management provided them the keys). After the heated exchange, we managed to ask the strangers out of our chalet but this shouldn't happen at all in the first place if the management just do their job properly. It's appalling!..... The management of the Zambezi National Parks chalets would like to clarify exactly what happened in this situation. A group of 29 people arrived around 8 on the 9th August 2018. They occupied chalet 2, 3, 4,5, 7 and 8. These clients were a bit confused and by mistake went to chalet No 1 which was not theirs. Hence the rather unfortunate confrontation. The tour leader of the group called the management to highlight what had happened and apologized. He also came and apologized personally for the mistake. We are so sorry for this most unfortunate incident…… All the chalets are supposed to have different keys obviously for security reasons. However there must be one key with the same code, which opens two doors. We have therefore instructed a full check of all keys to be replaced for those mentioned rooms. Again our sincere apologies for this and we will ensure it never happens again! MANAGEMENT - ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARKS CHALETS

We had a wonderful stay at the place. Staff was friendly and helpful! Great views of the Zambezi river and wildlife from the lodge.

We just loved living a week in chalet nr 5. Ok, Its a bit old and rustic, but everything is nice and clean, and service is really good! But best of all, location is unbeatable. Where else do you have a private garden where you can watch elephants and baboons. We even got to see a hippo one night. We loved sitting in the evening doing «nightsafari» from the deck. Would definately go again :)

Wild place to stay and an amazing experience It is basic - but the experience is what mattered for me - being able to stay in the National Park and see the wart hogs and bush buck in the backyard. Pam was an amazing host - very accommodating.

The Zambezi National Park chalets were great. Out in the middle of the park by the Zambezi river, we had our own little self-catering house that was clean, tranquil and just what we were looking for. We extended our stay 1 extra night.

This place is paradise. Forget the swanky hotels in town. Thank you, Godfrey and Pam, for keeping everything running so beautifully!

The lodge is really nice, with everything you need to spend a good stay (braai, stove and kitchen ware). During the night, you can hear and see much game, it's fantastic!
