Boma - Dinner & Drum Show (Africa Albida Tourism)

Victoria Falls

Africa Albida Tourism (AAT) is a hospitality group offering the cream of Southern Africa's tourism products.  Units include its flagship property Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, the exclusive Victoria Falls Safari Club, RCI Gold Crown Resort, Lokuthula Lodges and Ngoma Safari Lodge (Chobe, Botswana).  The luxurious Victoria Falls Safari Suites opened in December 2013.

The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show
Described as an unforgettable African experience infused with mouth-watering local cuisine, spirited dance performances and traditional storytelling, The Boma Restaurant - newly renamed as the Dinner & Drum Show - has over the years firmly established itself as a Victoria Falls highlight. The Boma provides a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights and sounds of Africa - together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people.

Partially open to the skies, The Boma specialises in a superb selection of Zimbabwean dishes including local delicacies such as mopani worms and game stews.  A four-course meal combines a starter platter with a barbecue and salad buffet whilst the sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by a feast of nightly entertainment, incorporating traditional dancers, who captivate guests with their vibrant songs and dance.  The acclaimed Zambezi Drumbeat provides a wonderful finale to the evening's festivities with an enthralling interactive drumming experience.

The Boma Café
This new, al fresco-style cafe is set in a tranquil garden located close to the Lokuthula Lodges.  It serves breakfast to B&B guests between 7am and 10am and also caters to other diners, including Lokuthula Lodges self-catering guests.

Consider me converted. I entered The Boma expecting a great, big tourism trap and left absolutely delighted, smiling ear to ear, and with slightly sore hands from over-enthusiastic drumming. I also discovered Warthog is VERY delicious. A wonderful night.

Even those who have an aversion to tourism-traps cannot fail to be caught up in the vibrant exhuberance and sheer awesomeness of an evening spent at The Boma Restaurant. The colours are dazzling, the food is delicious, the service is exceptional, the atmosphere is electric, and the interactive drumming is sheer brilliance. As tourism experiences go, this is very nearly perfect.
