Zambezi Cruise & Safaris have launched their new 2, 3 or 4-night cruising itineraries aboard The Zambezi Trader cruiseboat based out of Msuna Island on the Zambezi River between Victoria Falls, and the western end of Lake Kariba.

Groups or individual travellers can now combine 4 iconic destinations in one experiential itinerary - Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, The Zambezi River and Lake Kariba, as part of their Southern African safari.

Guests transfer (by light aircraft or by road) to Msuna Island located in the Zambezi River downstream of Victoria Falls, to board the Zambezi Trader cruiseboat.
The vessel then embarks on a unique journey spanning 35 to 50 kilometers exploring the Zambezi River’s bays, estuaries and islands as it travels leisurely downstream towards the upper (western) reaches of Lake Kariba and back (see sample itinerary below).
Accommodation: The Zambezi Trader has 3 main decks and a 4th wheelhouse and viewing deck.

A Deck (pictured above) has 16 standard twin cabins and the Spa.

B Deck has the main dining area, bar/lounge, reception desk, curio shop, large pool, plus 5 ensuite family cabins sleeping 4 pax each.
C Deck (pictured below) has 8 luxury ensuite cabins either twin or with king-sized double beds. C Deck also has its own private dining, bar and pool facilities with access to the wheelhouse deck /viewing area.

All cabins on all decks are en-suite, airconditioned with private balconies.

They include game-viewing, birdwatching, fishing and sunset cruises from tender boats. Other optional activities include game drives, guided walks, village cultural tours, and conservation talks.
