ZAMBEZI VALLEY SAFARIS focus on providing unique African adventures and experiences with first-class personal hospitality.
They have numerous and varied destinations, activities and expeditions with impressive bird and wildlife encounters ensuring that each guest has a superior educational escape in breath-taking scenery.
Three of the Zambezi Valley Safaris destinations are located on the Chirundu Estate - a private 2700-hectare wildlife estate on the Zambezi River, 5km downstream from Chirundu.
This is a wildlife paradise surrounded by the Nyakasanga Safari area. The estate boasts a 10km stretch of virgin Zambezi River frontage with a wide floodplain where buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and many other species can be seen.
The main Chirundu Safari Lodge is located on a ridge overlooking the Zambezi valley with the river about 1km away. The lodge overlooks a natural waterhole on one side and has a dam on the other side teeming with birdlife and fish. The lodge has a perimeter wildlife fence making it safe to watch and enjoy the wildlife that frequent both water sources all day and night. The lodge is on two storeys, with 10 en-suite air conditioned bedrooms, a swimming pool, wi-fi and secure parking for vehicles.
The more intimate Tamarind Tented Camp is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in a grove of wild Tamarind trees on a stretch of virgin riverside forest frequented by a variety of wildlife. This camp is designed for a wilder, bush-lovers experience, with no airconditioning and no wi-fi. There are 15 double or twin ensuite tents all of which are capable of fitting 3 adults (some 2 adults & 2 children) comfortably in each. A central living/dining area and a large, shaded deck over-look the river. There is secure parking for vehicles and boats.
The Zambeasy Campsites.

Ice, water and wood can be bought from Chirundu Safari Lodge. Camping is charged on a per person per night rate. Minimum 2 people staying, maximum 8. Free mooring is provided for boats.
