MEDICAL AIR RESCUE SERVICE - MARS is an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider, offering a fully integrated pre-hospital solution, facilitated through an extensive footprint in 10 strategic towns countrywide.  A subsidiary of Cassava Smartech, MARS has been in operation for over two decades providing emergency management that meets international standards.

With the largest fleet of ICU level equipped emergency vehicles crewed by Advanced Life Support Medics to handle any medical emergency, MARS operates 24hours a day, 7days a week.  We are committed to providing fast response times, quality medical expertise, and achieving and maintaining high clinical standards in every facet of our operations.

With a Dedicated aircraft, our Aeromedical division has over 20 years medical service experience evacuating to and from such diverse Central and Southern Africa sources as Mozambique, Kenya, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Pretoria (South Africa), Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania), Luena and Luanda (Angola), Kinshasa and Lubumbashi (D.R.C), Lusaka and Likulu (Zambia) and Antananarivo (Madagascar) among many others.  Evacuation by Air Ambulance provides a quick and reliable repatriation to one’s home country or any other country upon request, a much needed reassurance for international travellers, Embassies, N.G.O’s, Organisations with Foreign International staff, as well as Local citizens seeking medical tourism.

Our flight team comprises a Doctor, intensive care nurse & two pilots.  All medical flight staff have attended international aviation medicine and flight medical attendant courses. On board is equipment of intensive care unit standard including a comprehensive drug range.

To augment the Airwing, MARS has a fleet of over twenty four critical care road ambulances deploying across Zimbabwe. The fleet of Road Ambulances is similarly equipped to Advanced Life Support levels, with highly trained medical teams who are able to oxygenate, intubate, cardiovert and ventilate among other patient intervention measures.  

All MARS ambulances carry a full range of spinal immobilisation equipment, and have the ability to cater for all medical emergencies in new-borns, paediatrics and adults.

To access the service, one may use their medical aid cover, pay upfront, or subscribe under a membership package that best suits their needs as an individual, school, community group or corporate organisation.

With accreditation to the Southern Africa Resuscitation Council and affiliated to the American Heart Association. The school is dedicated to offer theoretical and practical training of people from all walks of life hence strengthening the Chain of Survival” within  homes, schools, work places, medical facilities and communities. 
On offer is a wide variety of professional and basic first aid courses.
