Simwenge River Lodge is located near the confluence of the Deka and Zambezi Rivers, below the Batoka Gorges, downstream from the mighty Victoria Falls.   On offer here, is the fishing experience of a lifetime in comfort and luxury.  

The Deka area has a remote tranquil African beauty and is accessible via road transfer from Victoria Falls or Hwange, self drive or air charter.

The lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests.  There are two luxury fully air-conditioned tent-under-thatch chalets with their own ensuite bathrooms; 2 large luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms and three small luxury tents with a shared bathroom.  

The lodge can be hired on a self-catering or fully catered basis.

An open thatched central living area encompasses a fully stocked bar, dining and lounge facilities all comfortably nestled on well tended lawns with magnificent trees and birdlife.

An inviting infinity pool allows time for relaxed contemplation of the Zambezi River rushing by and a purpose built stone braai including pizza oven complete the tranquil scene.

Simwenge River Lodge employs an in-house chef, boat skippers and a full compliment of lodge staff to offer you the fishing experience of a life time, concentrating on a catch and release system and offering the feisty Tiger Fish and other exciting species in the area.

As well as ample river fishing boats, Simwenge also offers the discerning client a pontoon experience, allowing for exploration of the Zambezi River from the water.  Lodge staff will conduct cultural activities in the area should clients wish.

The facilites at Simwenge are suited to fishing parties but can also be extended to family groups or adventure seekers.

Ngwenya River Lodge is located on Msuna Island in the Zambezi River.  It sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in luxury thatched accommodation.  Currently available as a self-catering option.  Activities available include fishing, river cruises, game drives and cultural tours.  More info & Gallery images coming soon.

The most wonderful places to stay and enjoy everything we love about Africa. Wonderful staff, excellent accommodation. Well worth a visit to both lodges. Highly recommended.
