What a beautiful place: we loved every minute! During our visit to Hwange National Park, we've stayed two days at The Platform. And what a stay it was! Located in the heart of the park, it offers a true bush experience and brings you really close to the wildlife. Specially the elephants who are frequent guests. The Platform is fully equipped with everything you need AND is fully fenced! The location sleeps 6 people, and since we were with two, we slept on the 'top-floor' of the platform. Amazing experience sleeping there with sunset/sunrise and the bush sounds. The staff provided us with a warm welcome and gave us an excellent tour of the location. Although you're completely on your own, the staff can be reached 24 hours using a radio which gives a safe feeling. In summary - we loved every minute of our visit!

The Platform is spectacular. The view of the waterhole is magnificent and elephants are present almost all day long. Everything is immaculate and in absolutely clean condition. The furnishings are well thought out and you immediately feel at home. There's plenty of space, and the same goes for the outdoor area with a barbeque pit. It's secured by an electric fence.

Accommodation and staff were excellent. Between the local dam and camp waterhole, game viewing was way beyond my expectations, overall this was a 5 star experience.

We arrived just before sunset and were greeted by three elephants at the pan in front of the lodge. At sunset, three young male lions turned up, followed by Hyena. A wonderful sight for our first time neice and nephew from the UK. By our third day we had seen so many different species, including a female leopard at the same pan. The lodge is very comfortable and the staff coped magnificently. A return visit is definitely on our list.

Amazing camp in the heart of Hwange! What a special place! We enjoyed 2 nights in tent #4 at south camp with our 9 year old. Benjamin, our camp host was excellent and took great care of us. The tent was spacious, the cooking area was EXTREMELY well stocked (and they even do your dishes for you!) and the private watering spring was lovely for game watching. We even had a fire started for us every night for enjoying/cooking. The place is a real gem and located in a very central part of the park. We brought all our own food in with us and rented a 4x4 car in Vic Falls for the drive in (high-clearance vehicle is a must). Highly recommend!

Winter on the Kapula Platform. We went with another couple and stayed at the platform. We found there was ample space for 4 people, and the newly added tent and en-suite bathroom is spacious and comfortable! Everything we could've needed was provided, and we didn't feel like anything was missing. We went in the middle of winter and even sleeping in the open on the platform we had enough blankets and duvets to keep us warm!! Highly recommend, the road in may seem tedious but it was 100% worth it

Great self catering experience in the heart of Hwange National Park. The Camp is located in a beautiful area of the park, and the nature around the camp has not been altered, which gives you a pleasant feeling of been one with nature. The tents are spacious and comfortable and the ensuite bathrooms are comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and you will find everything you need to prepare your meals. My favorite space was the lounge and the view from it. The camp attendant is very friendly and attentive.

Magnificent bush experience, recharged the batteries! Had a fantastic time at Kapula, we had the whole camp to ourselves. Immersed in calm and nature and disconnected from everything else. Had lions in front of the camp and sightings of painted dog. Accomodation was very comfortable, lovely communal area looking on to the clearing. Loved sitting around the fire at night. Kitchen is well equipped and very functional. Staff were very helpful and also very discreet.

Kapula South Camp - A little paradise in Kapula Conservancy in Hwange National Park. Nestled in wild nature, the two Kapula camps and the "platform", which can also be used for overnight stays, are located in their own small game reserve, in the middle of Hwange National Park. Nearby Masuma Dam attracts a variety of wildlife to this area, which is otherwise characterized by Mopane forests. Kapula Reserve stretches along the rarely water-bearing Lukosi River and showed us a very game-rich side. Apart from many elephants, zebras, large kudus and warthogs who regularly stayed at the small watering point in front of our cozy lounge tent during the day; we were able to track down impalas, ibex, caffer buffalo, giraffes, jackals of shabrakes, spotted hyenas and lions in the reserve. Kapula South Camp is a well-organized self-catering camp, offering everything you need for a good safari in just four tents with shower and toilet, plus a well-secured bush kitchen and lounge built on stilts! A small fireplace for campfires and barbecues completes the decor. Firewood and very good drinking water (well water) are available. Bed linen and towels are provided, everything else must be brought by the visitor! We were not disappointed by the location of the South Camp and we were rewarded with a lot of good game watching! The camp is secured against visits by elephants with "only" one live wire at a height of almost 2 meters. Each, and I mean each, other wildlife can and will come to the camp unhindered, drink from the bird trough or just continue their journey across the camp. We had many different animals as guests.
