Rhino Safari Camp, an intimate, traditional bushcamp nestled within dense “jesse” bushveld along the shoreline of Lake Kariba at the north-western end of the Matusadona National Park, has been undergoing some changes, refurbishments and upgrades.  These have been carefully undertaken to preserve the exceptional and unique bush experience that this delightful little camp has always offered.

The bedroom, bathroom and living area furnishings have been improved to bring more comfort and design to this well-loved rustic camp that took its original inspiration from the Tonga culture.

The standards of service and quality of the cuisine have also been taken to another level, with the camp's delicious home-cooked meals featuring more fresh produce and new touches of culinary creativity.

Bush walks and early morning game drives can now be paired with delicious bush breakfasts in unspoilt wilderness surroundings, and evening sundowners on the lakeshore in front of the camp are not to be missed!

Rhino Safari Camp's discreetly spaced open fronted, en-suite bedroom chalets, raised on Tonga-Style stilted platforms, make perfect, safe, “hides” from which to enjoy wonderful birdlife and close-up encounters with passing elephants and other wild animals in the surrounding bush.

And the panoramic front views over Lake Kariba’s beautiful, ever-changing water and sky-scapes are truly spectacular!
