Chirundu
Chirundu is the border town on the Zambezi River where a road bridge crosses between Zimbabwe and Zambia . There are often long queues of long-distance trucks on the main road waiting to cross. Fuel is available. The stretch of the Zambezi River several kilometres downstream of the town, is popular for sport tigerfishing with several private lodges, camps and campsites offering both fishing and wildlife safaris. These are also popular riverside venues for weddings and private functions.
Chirundu is also the starting point for Canoe Safaris along the Zambezi River to Mana Pools and beyond, and also for boat transfers into Mana Pools.
