Zambezi Cruise & Safaris add value to their unique luxury boat cruises on Lake Kariba, with a portfolio of beautiful lodges around Zimbabwe.

Visitors embarking on a Lake Kariba cruise, may also enjoy the luxury of an overnight stop on land at either end of their cruise - at Kariba Safari Lodge  or Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel in Kariba Town (at the eastern-Mana Pools end of the lake) or at Masumu River Lodge in Binga (at the western-Victoria Falls end of the lake).

LODGES AT KARIBA TOWN at the eastern (Mana Pools) end of Lake Kariba.  There are two lovely accommodation options situated within a short distance of each other on Mica Point - with sweeping views over the blue water and the islands of the lake's Eastern Basin.

a) Kariba Safari Lodge -  has nine Lodges and eight Suites that are distributed on various levels over 33 acres of woodland hillside sloping steeply down to the lake shore and beach area.  All have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, a mini bar and complimentary tea and coffee facilities and private lake view patios.

The main open-plan lounge, restaurant, outdoor patio and bar area is built on an elevated deck set against the mountainside with awe-inspiring panoramic views of Lake Kariba.   Additional facilities include a swimming pool and casual bar with a communal boma area.  Free Wi-Fi is available to guests.

Kariba Safari Lodge has a separate conference and wedding venue also with Lake vistas.

Guests are able to enjoy an evening sail or a multi-day sailing experience aboard a fleet of "Tiki" sailing catamarans which are berthed just below the lodge.  This is a fun adventure activity, either for experienced self-sailers or, if guests have no sailing experience, a very able captain is on hand to join the trip.

b) Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel - (only partly open for weddings/events) is a smaller, 13-room colonial-style facility situated on the hilltop of Mica Point a short distance from Kariba Safari Lodge.  The two properties currently share amenities for weddings, conferences and events, with a free flow of guests between them.

An open-plan lounge/dining/bar/pool area is set in tropical gardens with stunning views over Lake Kariba.  The 13 en-suite, air-conditioned rooms, with either king or twin beds, have private verandahs, satellite TV, mini-bars and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.

Activities to be enjoyed at both these facilities include either a half–day tour of Kariba to the Dam Wall, Santa Barbara Chapel, Kariba Heights and Mahombekombe Township, a sunset cruise or a half-day guided fishing expedition to catch the famed Tiger or African indigenous Bream (Tilapia) fish.

Access is via the main road from Harare-Makuti for the self-drive or 4x4 enthusiasts and is only 5 minutes from Kariba Dam Wall for those travelling the 3-hour drive from Lusaka.

Road transfers are available when combining the Zambezi Cruise & Safaris Lodges and Cruise Boats circuits or a private aircraft charter can be organized from Victoria Falls or Harare Airports.

LODGES AT BINGA: (western (Victoria Falls) end of Lake Kariba

c) Masumu River Lodge is the base for arrivals and departures at the western (Victoria Falls) end of Lake Kariba for Zambezi Cruise Safaris' lake cruises.

The Lodge has a spectacular location on top of a hill 10 kms from Binga Town in the heart of the Tongan Tribal area, some 310 km from Victoria Falls and 209 km from Hwange National Park main gate.

The main lounge/dining/bar building has a magnificent view over the islands and waters of Lake Kariba’s western side and is built on two levels into the slope of the hill with a glittering swimming pool below to cool off on hot afternoons.

There are nine en-suite lodges (twin or king) and two family lodges which can accommodate up to 4 adults (twin or king) all with private verandas offering beautiful views of the lake.  The rooms have air conditioning, mosquito nets, mini bars and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.

Optional activities include cultural village tours, fishing and sunset cruises.

d) Kulizwe Marina Lodge - Binga: 30 Bedrooms   – currently under construction.  Opening soon.

Mana Pools Safari Lodge has 12 spacious thatched en-suite chalets and a vast central main lounge/dining/bar decked area which incorporates a swimming pool.  All this is set into thick woodland at the western end of the Mana Pools National Park  "floodplain" area with commanding views of the sweeping flood plains and mighty Zambezi River.

The lodge is unfenced and frequented by wildlife, including elephant, kudu, buffalo, painted dogs and even lion – all of which can pass freely through the camp.

AT SELOUS  (1-hour's drive from Harare)
Pamuzinda Safari Lodge and Chengeta Safari Lodge are surrounded by a game park and boast tranquil and relaxing environments for their guests. AT MATOBO HILLS (1-hour's drive from Bulawayo)

Zambezi Cruise & Safaris' Kariba Safari Lodge has very good standard of hospitality. The rooms are neat, comfortable and cool. The staff was very polite and helpful. Vipers and Pritchard get special mention. The Hot breakfast was one you seldom find.. .. we loved the quiet location which overlooks part of the Lake and the pool area as well. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay (21-24 Nov 2019) at this place. I particularly thank Janice for making our vacation lovely. To you and your staff I am eternally grateful. My guests and I cant wait to return. Thank you!! Thank You! Thank You!! Constance

Fantastic 3 night stay at Kariba Safari Lodge. Beautiful surroundings and well trained, caring staff. Viper was amazing and really knows the area and his job. The rooms are brilliant and the views simply breath-taking. The two giant fans in the bedrooms are life savers. Very nice indeed
